Tom Ryan
Tom Ryan is a Project Superintendent with Cornerstone Contracting, Inc. Tom has been involved in the Construction Industry in and around the Chicago area as a Journeyman Carpenter since 1976. Starting with the influence of his father who was the first Korean Veteran back from service inducted into the Chicago Plumbers Union and the Village Plumbing Inspector of Berkeley, IL., Tom has been exposed to the Construction Industry since a young boy for over 45 Yrs.
Tom’s educational experience related to the industry is through these many years of hands on construction activities. Starting with 7 years of single family homebuilding and graduating into Involvement in large commercial and institutional projects including the LaSalle Nuclear Power Plant construction, The John G. Shedd Aquarium Oceanarium Addition in Chicago, The Metra KYD Service Yard, The American Airlines Admirals Club addition to the H,K Terminal 2 at O’Hare International Airport, several hotel developments such as 2 Marriott residence Inns, and several Chicago Public School upgrade revisions. Tom has worked with several of the largest General Contractors in the Chicago Area in many Carpenter Foreman, Project Foreman and Project Superintendent positions.
Tom’s strong points are problem solving abilities related to jobsite coordination and the commitment to create a safe working environment and timely completion of a high quality product for the client.
Tom is currently completing a Civil Site upgrade and new Pavilion development in Saginaw, MI.
Tom lives with his wife Roberta in the Western suburbs and they enjoy hunting, fishing and any and all outdoor activities.
